Magnetic Pulleys are used for installing at the terminal head of main conveyors for the continuous extraction of iron contamination from the conveyor burden.

Working : When material carried on a conveyor enters the magnetic field surrounding a permanent magnet, pieces of ferrous metal in the material are attracted to the belt. They are held magnetically against the belt until carried to the underside of the pulley, where the belt takes them away from the magnetic field to be discharged. Nonmagnetic material falls away from the pulley in the normal flow. Here the separation is continuous and automatic.

Application : For protection of processing machinery such as crushers, pulverizes and other valuable equipments. Also it is used for purification of food stuffs, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and foundry sand.
